Pearl Bay. At anchor (day 1)
Swell was on the beam so aft anchor (Guardian) was set. Boat settled down well but after checking anchors late afternoon I noticed that the on the change of tide the aft anchor bridle had apparently wrapped itself around the starboard rudder post. Unhitched the anchor rode from the bridle and retrieved the anchor but could not retrieve the bridle as it was late afternoon and the light was fading. Checked that rudders were locked and centred and go as much bridle rope out of the water as possible and secured it. Decided to leave it until morning when there was enough light to dive and have a good look.
Set up the wind generator as the weather, the wind mostly,  was crappy at a steady 35knots and it looked like we would be here for a while.

Pearl Bay.  At anchor (day 2)
Got prepared physically and mentally, and dived into the fairly cold and murky water with my prescription swimming goggles. One bridle arm was looped once around the rudder post in the rope sized gap from rudder to hull.  Visibility was about an arm’s length but I manager to untangle it easily enough. (This contrasts with an earlier occurrence of a similar problem at Jumpinpin a few years back when I just left it overnight only to find several ugly loops to sort out. On that occasion it took and multiple dives and quite a while to fix.)

Pearl Bay. At anchor (day 3)
Moved tightly into the SE corner of the bay close to SV Blue Lagoon and the swell was much improved

Aft anchor rode around the rudder sorting out time. The skipper got us into this so the skipper can get us out as well?
At least the rain had stopped.

The Aquair tow generator is usually left in water configuration until we are hiding out somewhere and need more Amp Hours in the battery bank. It takes about 15 minutes to convert it to wind mode. It is then hoisted high in the fore triangle out of harm's way.

Blue Lagoon motors in.

This weather sucks !
